Term 2 & Matariki

Talofa Lava & a warm Pacific greetings, 

My name is Sauma, I'm currently at the age of 12 years-old,and a year 8 student, also known as a prefect with a few of my piars, I attend Pt england-school. This term 2 our theme/topic was based on (Watch This Space) the topic was related to planets,solar system & much much more. This term we have been learning about the solar system, and the 4 elements, on how it affects well to our planet. At the end of this term we celebrated Matariki, which is Moari *NEW YEAR* which is amazing, just to know that matriki is about stars and much more information, but the stars are always first seen on 24th June. Today on the 9th July where it is officially Matariki (Moari New Year) for us Pt england-school,where a few towns in New Zealand celebrate this speechless time of year, where we sometimes do a rotation around the school and do a few art based on Matariki, when this year some teachers agreed to stick in our classrooms, because due to a few teachers sick, or there children are ill, but it was really fun, my class was lucky to create these AMAZING bracelets, created out of wooden sticks, also here is a few information to create these fun bracelets at home Here! This activity was really creative, on how we did our own design & style, just to know that we used paint, also we drew a few paper works with these milky colours, I hope this writing will explain what I have been doing for this term.
