Designing a sport - writing 2









WALT organise and sequence our ideas.

WALT seek feedback and make changes to our writing.




Your task: Last week, you designed your own sport using the instructions from the youtube video. This week, you are going to design ANY sport you would like using ANY equipment you wish to use! Try to think of equipment which you know we have at school. Once you have designed and written the rules/instructions for playing your sport, you will be making an instructional video to go with your rules.




Use our word bank and word walls in the class to help you with words to use in your writing.

Equipment:

What materials/things do you need for your sport?


20 pegs with numbers on them, the game is called


Setting:

Where can your game be played?


Outdoors on a beach .


Players:

How many players are needed? How many teams are there?


8 in each group ,4 girls and 4 boys in one group 4 girls and 4 boys in the other group.


Competition/ Cooperation:

Explain how the players have to cooperate. Explain how the players compete.


This game is competitive and cooperative because the competitors work together.


Instructions:

Explain the rules of your game so that someone else could know how to play it.


So you are supposed to hide the pegs and you have to go and find them.



You will get a paper and there will be number’s on it .


As you go with your group you will have to find number pegs .


If you make a Mstique they will be a note on the paper at the bottem .


Objective/ Goal:

What is the goal of your game? How do players win?


Try to fine the pegs ,try to get the pegs ,

Write a short paragraph telling your blog readers what the task was for this week.

If you have completed the writing above and peer edited it with a friend, you can now start creating an instructional video to explain the rules of your sport in more detail.


Think about how you can demonstrate important parts of the game in your video.
