Year 8 Writing *Reflection

 Last Week on the 19 of May the whole of the year 8 at Pt England School, were lucky enough to go Kauaeranga Camp, wich it was heading a bit down south, near Hamilton, we had groups like Kauaeranga,Kauri,Coromandel,and my group Thames.

As we arrived we had to take out our camping bags, and settled in a hall, where they introduced there stuff members, also as we were looking outside, we saw families that also lived nearby close, which was a great community, on our first activity, we all year 8 groups went to the GYM, it was a pretty big GYM with a few games on the 2nd floor, first we did activities together, and first came was Kauaranga.

Year 7 Snorkelling Trip

 The year sevens are super lucky this year! Usually they stay at school while the year eights go to camp, but this year they are heading to Goat Island for a snorkelling trip! This is being provided by Experiencing Marine Reserves and Whitebait Connection. We are enjoying some awesome science lessons with them as well as our snorkelling lessons and experiences.

Title	Solar System
Introduction	The Solar System consists of the Sun and its planetary system of eight planets, their moons, and other non-stellar objects. It formed 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a giant molecular cloud.
Information 1st idea	The first planet near the Sun is Mercury, following is Venus, upcoming is Earth,then Mars, after is Jupiter, then Saturn, including Urans, and then Neptune. The temperature for Mercury is 800 degrees fahrenheit, where Neptune from the opposite side of Mercury is 200 degrees Celsius.
Information 2nd idea	About the sphere’s, is that there are four elements which are Geoisphere,Biosphere,Hydrosphere,and Lithosphere, without the sphere’s we wouldn't survive the changes, as of climate change!
Conclusion	As a wrap of summary, that it is good to have, the four elements to survive, also it is amazing to learn about the solar system!

Story Line Online

This morning me and my Literacy class were online reading, check out this site, also I felt board so I decided to publish something about what I had read, for further information take a look above!

 

Immersion Assembly

 On the 4th of Monday we started the school day off with an annual Term 2 Immersion Assembly. It’s our first day back at school for term 2, as this term’s theme kicked off with an introduction as ‘’Watch this Space’’ Even though every team made a skit,play or  musical, I have two favourite's in mind. Team 4's and Team 5's were great because they both had hilarity in them, also their songs were two funny.

Fourth kicked off was Team 4, Team 4 are concentrating on the 4 earth systems . Their Musical was amusing and dynamic, they played the part from Ummmmmm? (Comment). They explained about saving the planet earth from danger!

Team 5 play was about going on the sorcery school bus and travelling around the solar system. They involved Mars, Pluto,Jupiter, Mercury and Urans. They described a bit about each planet, with Uranus Mrs Tele'a and Miss Timi they performed a song (Ice Baby) that was humorous and terrific.
